The Philadelphia duo -- Young Chris (born Chris Ries) and Neef (born Hanif Muhammad) -- debuted with brief appearances on the first State Property album (2001) and, more importantly, got a high-profile shoutout in Jay-Z's "Takeover" earlier that year.
