The Dave & Deke Combo, a band of Los Angeles country rockabillies, consist of three Midwest transplants -- leaders Dave Dickerson and Deke Stuckey, plus drummer Lance -- and only one West Coast native, bassist Shorty. After releasing several 7" singles and an EP, the group's album debut, Moonshine Melodies, appeared in 1993 on the British label No Hit Records. After moving to Heyday in 1995, the Dave & Deke Combo released Hollywood Barn Dance the following year. ~ John Bush, All Music Guide
