Artist: Frenchy

Moving away from the politically fueled punk of the Dead Kennedys, guitarist East Bay Ray orchestrated a combination of quirky jazz, 60's R & B and lounge to create Frenchy's sound. With a presence of a clarinet, bass, drums and marimba to the lyrical accompaniment of love, crime and barbecues, Dionysus Records debuted Frenchy's first album Bumps and Grinds in 1996. Their second release, Che's Lounge followed on the same label in 1997. ~ Mike DaRonco, All Music Guide
