Most of the Third Wave of Ska Revival was based on Ska-Punk, a hybrid that took the 2-Tone movement of the early '80s as its starting point, and added the velocity and volume of hardcore punk for good measure. Throughout the late '80s, ska-punk was an underground phenomenon, with Fishbone being the only one of its practitioners to earn significant exposure. (read more)
