Description
Americana music includes Alternative Country, Bluegrass, Folk, Jazz and Blues- anything that has roots in traditional and acoustic American styles. Pioneered by a few adventurous radio programmers around the U.S. during the 1980s (the term "Americana" didn't come until later), the genre is rapidly growing in popularity.
