The blues continued to expand and diversify as well, as up-and-coming blues artists like Keb' Mo’, Guy Davis and Kelly Joe Phelps created a new niche for acoustic blues and women like Deborah Coleman paved the way for a new generation of female blues artists. Legends such as B.B. King, Buddy Guy and John Lee Hooker released all-star collaborative efforts featuring guests like Eric Clapton, Robert Cray and Keith Richards to expand their fan bases while simultaneously serving as ambassadors of the blues.
