Albums in Blues Of The 90's

Description

Even though several of the blues' biggest names such as Stevie Ray Vaughan, Albert King and Albert Collins passed away in the early 1990s, modern electric blues continued to thrive as teenage newcomers like Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Jonny Lang kept the blues alive on FM airwaves. The blues continued to expand and diversify as well, as up-and-coming blues artists like Keb' Mo’, Guy Davis and Kelly Joe Phelps created a new niche for acoustic blues and women like Deborah Coleman paved the way for a new generation of female blues artists. Legends such as B.B. King, Buddy Guy and John Lee Hooker released all-star collaborative efforts featuring guests like Eric Clapton, Robert Cray and Keith Richards to expand their fan bases while simultaneously serving as ambassadors of the blues.
