Albums in Brit-Pop

Description

Combining the guitar-dominated sounds of late-'60s pop, the energy of '70s hard rock and punk and the adventurous spirit of indie rock, several bands emerged from the UK in the late '80s and early '90s with an unapologetically British attitude. Associated with the acid-house scene, the Stone Roses were one of the first bands to display these attributes, and bands like Oasis and Blur have continued to expanded exposure of the style to audiences outside of Britain. While Brit-pop continues to be guitar dominated, bands like Radiohead have experimented with modern electronic productions.
