Albums in Early Guitar Legends
Description
Many of the most influential artists leading the development of new styles like jazz, blues and folk during the early 20th century were guitarists. Early jazz guitarists like Django Reinhardt, Eddie Lang and Charlie Christian developed innovative styles and playing techniques that forever changed the way the instrument was played. Andres Segovia's incredible technical prowess caused classical music fans and critics to view the guitar as a legitimate classical instrument for perhaps the first time in history. Les Paul’s multi-track recording experiments during the late 1940s showed that the electric guitar was a versatile instrument capable of creating an orchestra of sounds and tones.
