The Alarm are a British alternative rock/new wave band, formed in 1981 in Rhyl, North Wales. Initially formed as a punk band, "The Toilets" in 1977, under lead vocalist Mike Peters, the band soon embraced rock, displaying marked influences from Welsh language and culture.
